At Castro Resources for Academic Achievement (CRAA), we provide tutoring services for students in Pre-K through 3rd grade in Reading, Handwriting, and Math. Our goal is to provide each scholar with individualized academic support that strengthens their skills, builds confidence, and encourages a love for learning.
CRAA is a home-based tutoring business located in Sharon Hill, Delaware County, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. We offer both in-person and virtual tutoring, with sessions held once a week for one hour.

Our goal is to help students become confident readers who can understand, interpret, and enjoy what they read.

Areas of instruction include:
Number recognition and counting
Number sense and place value
Addition and subtraction
Multiplication fundamentals
Word problems and problem-solving strategies
Fractions and measurement
Grade-level mathematical concepts
We focus on helping students understand how and why math works, rather than simply memorizing answers.
Our Approach to Teaching
At CRAA, we recognize that no two students learn the same way. Our teaching approach combines individualized instruction, hands-on learning, repetition, positive reinforcement, and academic accountability.
Each student receives instruction based on their individual academic needs, strengths, and areas requiring additional support.
We also believe in the importance of maintaining communication with parents, guardians, and classroom teachers whenever possible. By understanding what students are learning in school, we can provide additional reinforcement during their weekly tutoring sessions.
Our goal is not simply to help students complete assignments. We want students to develop a genuine understanding of academic concepts and build the confidence necessary to apply those skills independently.

Each session is 1 hour long
Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, and Saturdays.
Available 1 hour time slots are between (Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
Sessions are located in the Delaware County area (Sharon Hill).
Virtual Sessions
When opting into virtual sessions, it is highly recommended that your student has access to an iPad or computer to log in for their weekly one-hour sessions. We have found that using a phone can make it more difficult for students to stay focused due to smaller screen size and limited capabilities.
Our virtual sessions are designed to be just as engaging and interactive as our in-person sessions, and we want every student to have the best possible experience. Using the appropriate device helps ensure your child can fully participate and benefit from each session.
All virtual sessions are conducted via Google Meet. Virtual Sessions are geared towards students in grades 1st-3rd.
